Waterfalls
It's almost like there are these periods where our relationship is smooth and steady, and then there are times when it's like standing on the edge of this gorgeous, wonderful waterfall and just letting yourself drop, knowing that there's a safe pool of water ready to catch you at bottom. You take the plunge and you're in wayyyy over your head, but oh man, it's exhilarating, it's breathtaking, it's just incredible and you feel better than you ever have before and the water is cool and refreshing and exactly what you needed.

Sam is my waterfall.

Ian and Latin

Soooo...

Ian sat down with a Latin dictionary today at school in the library, just to see what he could see.

And worked out the following phrase for himself:

Fovi te ipsi.

Lit: Fondle yourself.

Please God, can't you just make them a LITTLE less smart???

M-A: Can I scold THIS one? You forbade me to scold the other one over that pecker poem.

This is so funny. I was just doing a little housekeeping on my journal and found the link to the Penis Poem. Was it city_of_dis who told you not to scold him?

Yup, sure was. The man defends ANYTHING these kids of mine come up with. He's a great supporter of creativity and off-the-wallism in young folks. :)

i laughed too :)

*choke* You should post this (suitably sanitized) to linguaphiles. :-)

Most definitely! Scold him righteously. That is horrible Latin. Here's what he should be using instead:

mulce te

I'm not sure where he got that verb or its form from, but it just will NOT do. And the ipsi is redundant (& it should be ipsum, anyhoo). If he's going to be crass in Latin, he needs more practice. ;)

fulveo - to keep warm, bake
mulceo - to stroke, graze, touch lightly, fondle

Tsk, the state of edjumication these days!
