Waterfalls
It's almost like there are these periods where our relationship is smooth and steady, and then there are times when it's like standing on the edge of this gorgeous, wonderful waterfall and just letting yourself drop, knowing that there's a safe pool of water ready to catch you at bottom. You take the plunge and you're in wayyyy over your head, but oh man, it's exhilarating, it's breathtaking, it's just incredible and you feel better than you ever have before and the water is cool and refreshing and exactly what you needed.

Sam is my waterfall.

YAY WALMART!

Yes, I know many of you hate Walmart. I don't. Let's agree to disagree.

They just won more Jennpoints because I bought a bottle of their own brand of diet cola.

And I can't taste a difference between it and Coke Zero.

YEEHAW!

It probably is Coke Zero. Retailers often pay the makers of brand-name foods to make off-brand "retailer" versions of the exact same food - it's called "re-branding." If you look at the bottling plants on both a bottle of Sam's brand and a bottle of Coke Zero, and they're in the same or neighboring cities, they're probably the same company using two different packages for the same formula. The only difference is price.

And it's a big difference, and makes me happier than a pig in shit!

How are you holding up, love?

Not well. I'm trying, but it seems to be getting harder rather than easier. Yesterday was more "divide up Dad's possessions" at his house and we found Dad's rings.

His college ring is now mine. I wore it yesterday and it was like carrying Dad around with me. My brothers also gave me his black driving cap (and about a hundred and fifty DVDs to join the two hundred or so we've already brought home).

I'm going down there again this evening after work to say goodbye to my brother Nate, who's leaving on Wednesday morning to drive home to Chicago with his rented moving truck.

Not doing well.
