It's almost like there are these periods where our relationship is smooth and steady, and then there are times when it's like standing on the edge of this gorgeous, wonderful waterfall and just letting yourself drop, knowing that there's a safe pool of water ready to catch you at bottom. You take the plunge and you're in wayyyy over your head, but oh man, it's exhilarating, it's breathtaking, it's just incredible and you feel better than you ever have before and the water is cool and refreshing and exactly what you needed.

Sam is my waterfall.

Baking for church

Sam and I volunteered to bake for the coffee nook on the last Sunday of this month. Any opinions on what we should bake? Whatever it is, we need to provide about two dozen servings of it.

Also, we're doing the same for the Ponder school teacher appreciation breakfast our church throws every year and could definitely use some ideas for that, as well.

Borderline symptom of the day: curiouscurious

butterfly cakes

Basically just plain cupcakes (vanilla) but you cut a circle off the top, cut that in half, top the remainder of the cup cake with whipped cream, put the halved top into the cream like butterfly wings, add a splodge of strawberry jelly (jam in aus) dust with icing sugar.

Looks fancy, but is as easy as!

I would suggest cookies for the first (I have great recipes for cookies - chocolate chip oatmeal or ginger, big soft and chewy).

For the breakfast? Apple muffins, some with raisins. I also should have a recipe somewhere.

oooh ginger cookies sound goooood.. recipe pretty please?

Cupcakes are big right now: individual servings that don't require knives or excessive handling. Plus you can make a few different flavours/types in a relatively short time. Mini muffins are good for this, too.
