...... .:::.:.:

It's almost like there are these periods where our relationship is smooth and steady, and then there are times when it's like standing on the edge of this gorgeous, wonderful waterfall and just letting yourself drop, knowing that there's a safe pool of water ready to catch you at bottom. You take the plunge and you're in wayyyy over your head, but oh man, it's exhilarating, it's breathtaking, it's just incredible and you feel better than you ever have before and the water is cool and refreshing and exactly what you needed.

Sam is my waterfall.

McCain should learn when not to talk.

"I think Sen. Obama, if they want to do down that route, in all candor, she has far, far more experience than Sen. Obama does," McCain said.

He cited Palin's stint as governor of a "state that produces 20 percent of America's energy" as well as her previous membership in the PTA and her time spent on the city council and in the mayor's office in Wasilla,a town of fewer than 7,000 people outside Anchorage.

Did he actually cite time on the PTA as being good prep for the nation's HIGHEST OFFICE?

Say it ain't so, Joe.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080831/ap_on_el_pr/cvn_convention_rdp just in case this is too hard for you to believe so you HAVE to think I made it up.

I honestly wish I had. And I'm dead-set against McCain. But this is just... sad.

Borderline symptom of the day: amusedamused

Is it just my imagination, or are republican VP choices usually assassination insurance? You know: "Don't kill me, or THIS nutbar yahoo will be in charge!"?

Seems that way to me...Dan Quayle, Dick Cheney, this whatsherface unknown from Alaska (whose name I can't bring myself to say because it's the same as a member of Monty Python's)...think about it.

Fuckin' A, you do have a point.

On the other hand, it seems to me that the Democrats pick either bland VPs that nobody cares either way, or in a few cases here and there, really capable people, such as President Al Gore. Yes, President. He WON that election.

Heh...reminds me of how Carlin always referred to Shrubya as "Governor Bush", because it was the last office he was legally elected to.

No stinkin' subject! - (Anonymous)

Which brings up an interesting question: To be president, you have to have been born in the US, not naturalized...which would imply that this is required to be VP, as well. So...is that the case? Could McMarkOfCain have selected The Governator as a running mate, or is that forbidden? Could Arnie become president by way of Commander in Chief mortality?

I believe that the constitution lays out that the VP has to meet the eligibility requirements for the presidency.

I don't doubt it; that's what makes the most sense. But I didn't want to assume.

So, in short, no; Arnie could NOT become president by way of being the veep.

Thank God, no.

And now for some fun you won't be able to resist:

I made Super3lf. :D

What's a group that I wouldn't trust to run a BBQ got to do with being VP unless she's being used as a Quayle.

Sadly, quite a few parents on the board of our PTA seem to think they're in some important government office. And this was before we heard of Palin.
