...... .:::.:.:

It's almost like there are these periods where our relationship is smooth and steady, and then there are times when it's like standing on the edge of this gorgeous, wonderful waterfall and just letting yourself drop, knowing that there's a safe pool of water ready to catch you at bottom. You take the plunge and you're in wayyyy over your head, but oh man, it's exhilarating, it's breathtaking, it's just incredible and you feel better than you ever have before and the water is cool and refreshing and exactly what you needed.

Sam is my waterfall.

It has happened

Evan has discovered both the telephone and girls. And he has taken the phone over.

Will I ever get to make a call again?

Borderline symptom of the day: amusedamused

Not until he can afford to pay for his own phone ;) This will be sometime after he moves out ;)

I say probably not. LOL

Well, you could make a strict time limit and enforce it like my parents did. However, I think a 3 minute limit is rather absurd. (That was mine as my father was usually on emergency call. Blech!) I would say 15-20 minutes is more reasonable.

I've shown him what call waiting sounds like, and he is under strict orders to answer it when it rings. He also understands that the first time i have to wait more than 30 seconds for him to hang up when I say I need the phone, he won't see it again for a week.

We'll see how that goes before I try time limits.

That makes perfectly good sense. I hope it works out for him. I still remember how much I hated a 3 minute time limit.

My brother used to spend all his time on the phone. When I teased him with "Isn't it supposed to be teenage girls who spend all day on the phone?" he looked at me as if I was stupid, and then said "Who do you think they're talking to?"

Nope! Life as you know it is over. Just wait until he starts taking it behind closed doors to carry on his conversations in private. Oh, the joy!!
