...... .:::.:.:

It's almost like there are these periods where our relationship is smooth and steady, and then there are times when it's like standing on the edge of this gorgeous, wonderful waterfall and just letting yourself drop, knowing that there's a safe pool of water ready to catch you at bottom. You take the plunge and you're in wayyyy over your head, but oh man, it's exhilarating, it's breathtaking, it's just incredible and you feel better than you ever have before and the water is cool and refreshing and exactly what you needed.

Sam is my waterfall.

I'm glad I live in Texas these days

Instead of in a state that claims to be progressive, then shoots down the hopes of so many of its citizens. At least in Texas, they're up front about their bigotted, homophobic bullshit.

What the fuck, California?

I can't believe they voted for that shit.

Borderline symptom of the day: angryangry

And Arizona and Florida.

Remember that there are lots of the very Right wing religions in California. Sad thing is they voted.

What I don't understand is how they voted for Obama, AND this crap.

As Kengr I think it is put it, at least 1.5 million Obama supporters must have voted for this crap. WTF?

California has a large Hispanic population that tend to be very socially conservative. It's frustrating, especially for someone who is relatively socially liberal like me.

You can be pretty sure that those of us that read this and live in CA voted No on 8. 8 years ago, it was called prop 22, and it also passed, but by more of a landslide. We're getting there. The local news did a red/blue map by county of who voted on prop 8, and mostly the coastal counties were blue. Southern CA was pretty much ALL red. People just think CA is liberal because well, by comparison it is, but you mostly only hear about the hippies in the bay area :)

Oh yeah, 22 was also overturned by the court. and legal action is already underway to overturn 8. Be patient.

I'm just sickened by it.

But I do know that the vast majority of my LJ buds didn't back this crap. :)

Well, I guess we haven't all reached the summit yet. Some people are still in the foothills.
