...... .:::.:.:

It's almost like there are these periods where our relationship is smooth and steady, and then there are times when it's like standing on the edge of this gorgeous, wonderful waterfall and just letting yourself drop, knowing that there's a safe pool of water ready to catch you at bottom. You take the plunge and you're in wayyyy over your head, but oh man, it's exhilarating, it's breathtaking, it's just incredible and you feel better than you ever have before and the water is cool and refreshing and exactly what you needed.

Sam is my waterfall.

My name is Jenn, I'm a Snicketoholic

I admit it, I'm hooked.

The boys were in my friend Lindsay's wedding in November, and as a thank you gift to them, she gave them the first seven books in Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events series.

I decided to read them, and I'm totally hooked. I just ordered the final six in the series, and am going to order the Unofficial Biography of Lemony Snicket, as well as The Beatrice Letters, and Snicket's Christmas and Hannukah books (one of which is titled The Latke Who Couldn't Stop Screaming. How can I resist a title like that???)

These books are hilariously funny and engaging. Written roughly for the 5th grade market, they're still plenty of fun for grownups, and they're so ... UNHAPPY! And they just wallow in it! They're fantastic! If you haven't read them, DO SO!

They beat Harry Potter to death with his own broomstick.

...and it becomes more interesting as you go, and distinctly theological/ethical. I've used it as a pastor.

I have and read the original 13. I haven't gotten my hands on the supplemental works yet.
