Waterfalls
It's almost like there are these periods where our relationship is smooth and steady, and then there are times when it's like standing on the edge of this gorgeous, wonderful waterfall and just letting yourself drop, knowing that there's a safe pool of water ready to catch you at bottom. You take the plunge and you're in wayyyy over your head, but oh man, it's exhilarating, it's breathtaking, it's just incredible and you feel better than you ever have before and the water is cool and refreshing and exactly what you needed.

Sam is my waterfall.

Declined

I was declined for CBA.

No dental. No working wheelchair. No services.

Why? Because I'm 44. Even though this is a service for all disabled adults over 21 years old, for some reason I am too young.

Can't stop crying.

I swear I'll do what my grandfather did and yank these fucking teeth out of my head with a pair of vise grips.

CBA? Other than your age, were there any other strikes against you?

EDIT: Okay, it looks like you really aren't eligible, because you're not ready for a nursing home. Can you contact your county health department about your teeth? I know taht they do a sliding-scale cost for that.

Oh, man. :(

Can your expert church friend advise?

No vice grips. You'll let yoursel feel bad for a while and then what you will do is keep on doing, maybe launch an appeal, maybe find a different program, but you WILL find a way even if it means using your tax rebate for that instead of toys and presents (leaving in the bills and things to pay off with it). . .you will do it and you will come out stronger for it in the end. This much I know is true.

How close are you to the border? My dad does the snowbird thing every year, and one of the things they do is get their dental done in Mexico. He got 12 implants for I think 1500.00. I think they run roughly 2k a per tooth here, and as much if not more up in Canada. If you've any way to check on it, you may want to look into it.

I'm sorry :(

Wish there was some way I could help...

GoodThoughts...

I'm sorry, hun. *hugs* Don't take this as a block, though. See it as another hurdle to get over. There must be other ways.

damn :( good luck with the appeal!
