It's almost like there are these periods where our relationship is smooth and steady, and then there are times when it's like standing on the edge of this gorgeous, wonderful waterfall and just letting yourself drop, knowing that there's a safe pool of water ready to catch you at bottom. You take the plunge and you're in wayyyy over your head, but oh man, it's exhilarating, it's breathtaking, it's just incredible and you feel better than you ever have before and the water is cool and refreshing and exactly what you needed.

Sam is my waterfall.

Great guitarists

I did one of those My Top Five things over on FB, and here's the ones I chose off the top of my head, although Clapton is ALWAYS king:

eric clapton, Tom Scholz, Carlos Santana, Jimi Hendrix and The Edge.

My friend Tracey added:

Jimmy Page, Eddie Van Halen, Pete Townshend, Mark Knopfler, Joe Perry, Joe Walsh, Keith Richards, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, BB King, Jerry Cantrell, Jeff Healy .... OMG, how can there by just 5 .... there's no way :)

My sister G added:
Django Reinhardt, John McLaughlin, Jeff Beck, Robin Trower, Larry Coryell, Ernie Isley, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Steve Vai, Ry Cooder, Robert Johnson, T-Bone Walker...too many to name.

I then added:

Joe Satriani, Jerry Garcia, Jeff Beck, Johnny Winter, did any of us mention BB King? James Taylor, Steve Earle, Johnny Cash (yes, really), Bruce Springsteen, Danny Kortchmar...

Who else, my little cupcakes? I'm curious to see just how many guitar greats we can all come up with.

Borderline symptom of the day: curious

Oh God, how could I forget him???
