It's almost like there are these periods where our relationship is smooth and steady, and then there are times when it's like standing on the edge of this gorgeous, wonderful waterfall and just letting yourself drop, knowing that there's a safe pool of water ready to catch you at bottom. You take the plunge and you're in wayyyy over your head, but oh man, it's exhilarating, it's breathtaking, it's just incredible and you feel better than you ever have before and the water is cool and refreshing and exactly what you needed.

Sam is my waterfall.

Lo these many years ago, my sister G told me that I should read Marion Zimmer Bradley's Mists of Avalon.

Being a stubborn git, I didn't get around to it back then, and forgot all about it in subsequent years.

Well, a friend gave me a copy of it for my kindle the other week, and finding myself with nothing else that interested me enough to read right then, I started reading.

WOW! What a BOOK! I'm in love with it.

Only halfway through and I can barely put it down!

Borderline symptom of the day: cheerfulcheerful

A bit of advice...don't bother with the TNT miniseries they made out of it.

I don't like to be Little Miss Knee-Jerk, and I gave it an honest try--hell, I actually enjoyed the movie they made out of Starship Troopers, even though I'd like them to make the actual book into a movie someday--but this is definitely a case of the book being better.

Cuz Mists of Avalon was pretty decent, I must say.

I've almost always been disappointed with filmed versions of books.

Why aren't you on IM? I'm getting drunk!

I'm already drunk! Thinking seriously about that whaddayacallit...sleep thing.

Hi JennJenn!

Merry Christmas! I hope you & Sam & the kids have a wonderful holiday!

And btw, Mists of Avalon is great. Be glad you have it in Kindle form. My hard copy easily weighs a good five pounds. Now I might have to go snag a copy for my kindle. Excellent idea *grin*

Cheers! I miss ya

What's your email, I'll send it to you :)
